8th of December 2011, Olomouc, Czech Republic
The speakers of the conference were representatives of Czech Development Agency, ARPOK, Südwind and teachers involved in the project. The aim of the conference was to introduce directors and teachers of elementary and secondary schools to the concept of Global Development Education (GDE) on the example of an international project – Global Curriculum.
A newly formed National Strategy of GDE and its concept in the CR was introduced by Martin Naprstek from the Czech Development Agency. To compare it to other strategies, Susanne Paschke, from the Austrian NGO Südwind Agentur, presented the Austrian way of dealing with the issue. Kristyna Tillova spoke about the course and implementation of the project in the CR. At the end of the conference some space was given to the teachers who participated in study trips to British Leeds or Beninese Porto-Nova. The teachers shared their impressions, insights and tips in a guided discussion.
An evaluation of the conference can be found in section "Materials of the Project" on the left side of the website.
